Our Philosophy

At Cotyledon we take great inspiration from the mighty 5 elements of nature to teach children. Every element represents an important aspect of nature that we connect with the values we teach each month and the life skills we incorporate in our curriculum.

Humility
Stands for the solid state and is connected to grounding, stability, and material manifestation. It is associated with values such as reliability, steadfastness, humility and resilience.

Unity
Frequently regarded as the fifth element, ether stands for the enormous area that encompasses all other elements. It is linked to awareness, unity, and the possibility of everything being.

Empathy
Represents the emotional facets of life as well as flexibility and adaptability. It also stands for healing and purification. It symbolizes values such as the ability to navigate through obstacles, empathy and compassion.

Freedom
Stands for the gaseous condition and is connected to cognition, communication, and life's breath. It represents clarity, freedom, and mental strength

Courage
Denotes vigor, change, and intense emotion. It represents the strength of will, courage and resolve, as well as both creation and destruction.
In addition to being symbolic, these fundamental principles offer a framework for appreciating and developing social and personal virtues in children. They provide a pathway to engage with more profound human experience and encourage development, harmony, and balance in the early ages of child.

Our vision is to inspire a generation of confident, compassionate, and curious young minds through an educational approach inspired by the 5 elements of nature to teach them life skills, values and promote learning and development.
